On a relatively cool morning in Denver, 20 brothers hit the links at Overland Golf Course for the SigEp Grand Presidents Cup golf tournament. Hosted every Thursday morning for the past several Conclaves, this outing once again proved to be a great event with fun competition.
The format was a four-person team scramble with a few hole competitions to keep things interesting. The winning team with a score of (-8) consisted of Past Grand President Mike Williams, Memphis ’69; District Governor and SigEp National Advancement Council member Kelly Williams, Tennessee ’92; Matt Hillerud, North Dakota ’04; and Rod Smart, Sacramento State ’77.
Jim Strickland, Texas-Austin ’79 took home the Closest-to-the-Pin prize with a shot inside of 10 feet. Matt Hillerud, North Dakota ’04 won the Longest Drive competition with a drive approaching 300 yards!
Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all the brothers who were able to attend the Grand President’s Cup this year.
