For nearly 50 years, hundreds of SigEp Headquarters staff members and thousands of visitors to Zollinger House have been greatly impacted by one man — Jerry Gallagher.
Since 1967, Jerry has led Headquarters’ facility management and so much more. He’s been a fixture through the tenures of 473 Regional Directors and 24 Grand Presidents at two Headquarters offices.
Due to his commitment to the ideals and aspirations of this Fraternity — and his true lifetime of service — SigEp invited him to become a Renaissance brother in 2009.
Jerry’s personal touch and care for others has earned him the love and admiration of all of these co-workers, brothers, volunteers and friends.
“Jerry was dedicated and loyal to SigEp for half a century. He took so much pride in working for SigEp and in becoming a brother. He was always helpful when you needed something. He has a special connection to all SigEp staff both past and present.”
— Kathy Johnston, Member Safety Director
“Through his many years at SigEp, Jerry made a great impact on those he worked with at Headquarters, including me. Although I only worked with Jerry for 16 years, I found him to be one of the kindest and most giving people I have ever worked with. There wasn’t anything Jerry wouldn’t do to help someone, even if it was something that caused him to go way out of his way.”
— Donna Jarvis, Chapter Services & Membership Manager
To recognize Jerry for his nearly 50 years of steadfast and loyal service to generations of Sigma Phi Epsilon Headquarters staff in Richmond, Virginia, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity dedicated the Zollinger House kitchen in his name.
“I’m proud that the enduring memory so many people have of Zollinger House is of Jerry happily and diligently working to make our staff effective and our office beautiful. I can think of no better way to honor him than by ensuring the next generation of SigEp staff and visitors of Zollinger House get to see Jerry’s Kitchen and hear about his lifelong commitment to SigEp.”
— Brian C. Warren Jr., Chief Executive Officer
All current and future staff members and visitors of Zollinger House will enter Jerry’s Kitchen and be reminded of his service and his impact to Sigma Phi Epsilon.
