Michigan Beta RLC recently hosted Stuff the Blue Goose, an event sponsored by the Michigan State Police. The initiative encourages participants to fill the force’s distinctive “Blue Goose” patrol cars with toys for children from low-income families.
The chapter hosted the event this past Saturday at its house, partnering with Delta Zeta sorority at Western Michigan. Together, they filled Michigan State Police vehicles with 377 toys and 143 canned goods, which will be distributed this Christmas through the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program.
The Western Michigan RLC reached out to the Michigan State Police to organize the event and then invited other Greek organizations to attend. The chapter has continued to demonstrate leadership on its campus and in its community, and Michigan Beta RLC has won Buchanan Cups at the past two Conclaves in 2015 and 2013.
