Jeremy Poincenot, San Diego State ’13, lost his sight when he was 19 years old. Today, he’s a World Blind Golf Champion.

Great big story, in partnership with JC Penney, produced a video to tell Jeremy’s inspirational story:

“When he was 19 years old, Jeremy Poincenot began losing his vision. Already a talented golfer, Poincenot was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to continue playing the sport he loved. But one year later, with a little encouragement from his mother, Poincenot went to the driving range. With that, he resolved to compete again. Poincenot, along with his father as his coach, caddy and guide, set off on a journey to play in the World Blind Golf Championship. The pair did more than play: they won.”
