The Shawn McKenna Presidents Academy makes its mark on Carlson

So glad to see the Academy with Brother Shawn McKenna’s name on it. A good Brother and wonderful friend who did so much for his local chapter and Sigma Phi Epsilon Chapters across the nation. So missed by all of us.

Live Your Oath

From Allen Butler’s, Georgia Tech ’15, mother on Instagram:

So proud that my son @butler_allen was part of this video! And I’m proud to be an ADPi!

April is #SexualAssaultAwarenessMonth, and SigEp & @alphadeltapi are continuing our #LiveYourOath partnership. Together, we can make sexual assault a thing of the past. #LiveYourOath liveyouroath.org

SigEp leads to a lifetime of success

After all these years, I’m still on the SigEp mailing list and enjoy reading about some of outstanding young men and their accomplishments. Personally, l have a pretty good show of success: four years in the Colorado House of Representatives, 24 years as a State Senator (fourth-longest continuous serving Senator in Colorado’s history).

Following my 28 years in the legislature, l was elected to a four-year term as a Mesa County Commissioner, followed by six years as a member of the Board of Regents for the University of Colorado’s system. Finally, the governor of Colorado, John Hickenlooper, appointed me to Colorado Mesa University’s Board of Trustees, which is where l started my career in higher education 56 years ago. Have l been blessed? Yes. Do l attribute some of my achievements and success to my years as a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon? Yes, l do.

GO SIGEPS, GO!

I framed and hung mine 35+ years ago.  It’s still hanging…

It is 58 years since my Installation as a Brother of Sig Ep. I am proud of our fraternity and the evolution of this great organization, I am impressed with the Balanced Man program, it is a much better way to prepare our members for their future.
I would like to tell you a little about my life that Sig Ep helped me to prepare I am the immediate Past National President of Sertoma , a large service organization of clubs in 42 states and Canada and Mexico,, Our Mission is Hearing Health and educating people about protecting their hearing.
I am currently the President of Hearing Charities of America, which is a cooperative effort of 8 charities that have a hearing mission.
I have found since my retirement from JCPENNEY, with 35 years in management, that service to my fellow man is the most self-fulfilling thing that you can do in your life.
Sig Ep in no small measure prepared me for life’s challenges. I love our fraternity and the way it prepares young men for their future.
