Ed Hammond, Emporia State ’66, has received the University of Louisville Division of Student Affairs’ inaugural Legacy Award. Hammond was hired as the university’s first vice president of student affairs when the department was established in 1976. The department is celebrating its 40th year of serving the Louisville student body.
Hammond is currently president of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Past Grand President of the Fraternity and president emeritus and professor of education at Fort Hays State University. He has done much to advocate SigEp’s vision of being a valued partner in higher education.
