Each of these open chapters observed milestone anniversaries in 2025. Here, we share highlights of their anniversary celebrations, as submitted by chapter volunteers.

Celebrating 100 years: 1925
Florida Alpha, Florida
Founded March 28, 1925

Nearly 400 brothers, alumni and friends gathered in Gainesville, Florida, over the weekend of March 28 – 30, 2025, to celebrate Florida Alpha’s centennial. The weekend featured 11 signature events, including the third annual Florida Alpha Classic golf tournament. Friday’s welcome events at 5 Fraternity Row marked the chapter’s founding day with a lunch, open house, tours of the chapter facility, a tribute ceremony and the unveiling of the Little Sisters of the Golden Heart plaque. The celebration culminated with the Centennial Gala, where individual honors were presented, including the Outstanding New Volunteer Award to Parker Rossignol, ’24, and a proclamation to SigEp Educational Foundation Secretary Mike Watford ’75, for his lasting impact on the chapter. The weekend was also bookended by two Florida Gators basketball victories, which only added to the energy of the occasion.

Celebrating 75 years: 1950
Ohio Kappa, Bowling Green State
Founded Dec. 9, 1950

SigEp’s Ohio Kappa chapter celebrated 75 years of continuous operations at Bowling Green State University on Sept. 19 – 20, 2025. The celebration kicked off Friday evening with a reception featuring a talk by the university’s varsity hockey coach, Dennis Williams. Saturday started with campus tours and a golf tournament that included over 20 teams. That evening, the event concluded with a banquet attended by nearly 200 alumni and undergraduates. Bowling Green State President Rodney Rogers rushed over from that afternoon’s football game vs. Louisville in time to serve as the banquet’s keynote speaker. Brother Dave Lacey, ’53, was remembered for his generous gifts to the chapter via his estate. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Order of the Golden Heart, SigEp’s highest volunteer award, to longtime alumni and volunteer corporation member Carlton Schooley, ’63, by Past Grand President Brad Nahrstadt, Monmouth ’89. Schooley served as Ohio Kappa’s chapter counselor for over 20 years.

Celebrating 25 years: 2000
Wisconsin Theta, Wisconsin-Platteville
Founded Oct. 14, 2000

On Oct. 10 – 12, 2025, Wisconsin Theta celebrated its 25th anniversary at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The theme, “Limitless,” not only celebrated the past 25 years, but also set the stage for the next 25. The weekend’s closing banquet featured a comedy set by nationally known comedian Steve Hofstetter, Columbia ’02; a keynote by Grand President Dave Calderon, Cal Poly-Pomona ’88; and numerous video messages from prominent SigEps and video shoutouts from friends of the chapter in the sports and entertainment fields. The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of a conceptual design for Wisconsin Theta’s highly anticipated chapter facility. The project is slated to break ground in five years. Thanks to the $400,000 in campaign commitments secured at the banquet, the project has exceeded its initial $600,000 fundraising goal.
