Welcome to Tampa and the 59th Grand Chapter Conclave! Brothers and friends are milling around our beautiful host hotels, connecting, reconnecting and celebrating what it means to be a SigEp. As I look out on this Conclave, I can feel it.
SigEp is on the rise, and this is the largest Conclave since 2017.
We’re a year into our plan to become the largest and best fraternity on every campus where we plant the SigEp flag — our plan for peak performance. Our plan to reach more young men with the SigEp experience.
Conclave is the part of your fraternity experience where SigEps from across the nation come together to renew old connections. To build new ones. To unite around the growth that the Balanced Man ideal calls us to — for ourselves and for SigEp.
But if we’re going to keep achieving that growth, we must rise above complacency. Together, we have to rise to the challenges — and conquer the challenges — associated with being the biggest and the best. Together, we have to rise to the occasion and show our campuses and our communities the difference that SigEp can make.
As you walk into Conclave, you’re experiencing a tradition nearly 125 years old — an event that has shaped SigEp and the lives of tens of thousands who have attended.
Whether you’ve been to fifteen Conclaves or this is your first, I hope you rediscover the power of Sigma Phi Epsilon and build deeper connections with brothers from across the country.
Enjoy Conclave, my brothers.
