Drew Feustel, Purdue ’89, arrived at the International Space Station on March 23, 2018, two days after launching from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Feustel’s flight crew included NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold and Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev. Feustel is now the commander of the space station and is scheduled to remain in space until October 2018. During his expedition, the crew will conduct over 250 research investigations and technology demonstrations only possible in the unique environment of space.
