As the SigEp Learning Community mentor, you are responsible for supporting the vice president of SigEp Learning Community in supporting academic success and execution of the chapter’s learning opportunities and programming. You should support him in leading and organizing his committee effectively, guide him through the SLC accreditation process, and ensure the brothers have an engaging, learning-centered experience through SLC programming.

As the mentor for learning communities, you will:

1. Lead your mentee to become well-versed in SigEp’s definitions and standards of a SigEp Learning Community, support him in increasing chapter academic achievement, and advise him on enhancing the educational value of the chapter’s dedicated learning space.
2. Encourage your mentee to engage both the chapter’s Balanced Man Program, and programming events through the use of dedicated learning space, and on-campus resources and subject matter experts.
3. Guide your mentee through the SigEp Learning Community accreditation and re-accreditation process through building an SLC programming calendar, utilizing the rubric and application, and supporting documentation.
