Chapter Success Team Job Opportunities

Last updated: August 21, 2024 | Hiring for 2025 - 2026 academic year

What it is that you’ll do: Our chapter success team is made up of four specific traveling roles that allow us to provide the best service in the accomplishment of our mission. Those four roles are listed below. By applying to this job posting, you express interest in all four open roles. While we consider preferences, you would be matched to the role where your knowledge, skills, and abilities will position you to be the most impactful.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in the pursuit of one with an aligned graduation date
  • 1+ years of organization leadership experience (SigEp-specific leadership not required)
  • Proven track record of success in relationship-building
  • Goal-oriented mindset

Desired skills:

  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Experience in executing long-term project
  • History of engaging key stakeholders
  • Ability to be effective both in teams and individually

Opportunities available:

  • Recruitment Manager: As a recruitment manager, you will provide recruitment services to chapters with the highest growth potential by teaching fundamental sales skills and best practices for all recruitment phases, effectively engaging volunteers to drive growth, and coaching on best practices for chapter finances and SigEp Learning Community accreditation. Lastly, you will be a resource for linking chapters to SigEp Headquarters for other chapter operations.
  • Chapter Success Specialist: As a chapter success specialist, you will be responsible for supporting chapters in all areas of operations. Chapter success specialists drive growth and retention by offering SigEp Learning Community accreditation coaching, BMP Pilot implementation, and volunteer recruitment/training.
  • Chapter Success Manager: As a chapter success manager, you will empower chapter success by delivering virtual support, focusing on the fundamentals necessary for success in recruitment, finances, and the Balanced Man Program, and working towards achieving SigEp Learning Community accreditation. To enhance this process, you will position Peak Performer chapters as mentors to other chapters to promote shared success.
  • Expansion Manager: As an expansion manager, you will start a chapter from the ground up. Expansion managers own the entire recruitment process of finding leaders on campus through 365-recruitment. They coach chapter members to coordinate chapter-winning strategies on their own, creating a continuous development experience through the Balanced Man Program and forming the culture of this new chapter with SigEp’s best practices.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Compensation: Compensation is competitive for entry-level professionals considering that, as a traveling staff member, gas is expensable for work-related travel, and traveling staff are not responsible for rent expenses during their year on the road.
  • Professional development: Traveling staff members are facilitated with significant professional development opportunities. They are expected to participate in the 10-week in-person leadership development program over the summer, connect with SigEp career mentors, and receive facilitated networking support.
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) benefits are opt-in as needed.
  • Paid-time Off: Unlimited responsible PTO with manager approval.
  • Holidays and breaks: Typically, 1 week off for Thanksgiving, 3 weeks off from late December to early January, and semi-annual week-long staff meetings where traveling staff members are paid to travel back to Richmond, VA, to regroup on team goals and wins.

Work specifications:

  • This is a full-time, salary-exempt position
  • 11-month commitment from mid-June to mid-May (specific dates determined each year) with opportunities to promote following completion of the position

Location:

  • Richmond, VA: From mid-June to mid-August to participate in the Kenneth S. Maddox Summer Development Program
  • Travel within a designated US region: From mid-August to mid-May servicing chapters

Disclaimer: While the services, resources and opportunities we provide are aligned with an established, future-focused strategic plan, the needs of our organization are dynamic and always changing. While this is the most up-to-date posting, thank you for understanding that specific points within this posting are subject to change. For more rapid updates, submit an application if you’re interested, and we’ll be in contact, or you can email us at hiring@sigep.net.
