Life After College

Ignite your future and get a competitive edge with Life After College! This isn't your typical career prep program. LAC is an immersive, in-person experience where you'll get hands-on professional development and one-on-one consultations with leaders from across the SigEp alumni and friends of SigEp network.

No matter where you are in your journey, whether you're a first-year student just starting to explore options or a senior ready to land your first big job, this program is designed to help you stand out. Rooted in the career readiness competencies from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), we'll give you the skills and confidence to take on the professional world.

The LAC weekend isn’t just about professional development! We bring this program to an exciting downtown city so that you can turn the experience into an unforgettable weekend with your brothers. Connect with SigEps from your chapter and others across the country, building a network of brotherhood that will last a lifetime.

Life After College will be held this fall in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 14-15, 2025. Thanks to the generous support of SigEp’s donors, registration for this transformative program is FREE!

This year, there are two program options available for undergraduates:

  • The general program involves a mixture of large-group sessions, including a networking breakfast and a plated etiquette luncheon, optional one-on-one consultations, and two session options to choose from in each workshop block. Guided by successful and expert SigEps and volunteers, you’ll leave the weekend confident and ready to continue to prepare for life after graduation! The general program is open to all SigEp undergraduates.
  • The senior track is a smaller, dynamic program experience explicitly tailored for undergraduates who are seniors or seniors+, about to graduate college. The track is capped at 30 brothers to provide the opportunity for intentional relationship-building with other seniors and skilled alumni and volunteer facilitators. Workshops are focused on the topics most critical to your success within the next year as you graduate. In addition to this more intimate program, you’ll also be invited to a special closing reception hosted by SigEp to network further with all of the LAC faculty and alumni in attendance. You’ll also have the opportunity to be matched with one of SigEp’s top career coaches for support after the program as you soon enter the workforce or graduate from professional school.

Lodging

SigEp has negotiated a deeply discounted rate ($169/night plus tax) for lodging at the LAC host hotel, The Westin Cincinnati, located right in the heart of downtown Cincy. To reserve your room(s) for you and your chapter brothers, click here. The hotel is only holding rooms at our discounted rate until October 21st so make sure to reserve your room by then to ensure that you’ll be able to stay at the LAC hotel! You will be asked to guarantee your reservation via credit card when you reserve your room, but know that the card will not be charged until you check out after the program. You do have the ability to modify or cancel your reservation up to 48 hours prior to arrival at no charge. Please note: there will also likely be a hold placed on your credit card for incidental charges when you check in!

Parking

Self-parking is available at the Westin Cincinnati for $21/day. There are also other, more inexpensive options in the surrounding downtown area.

Funding Your LAC Experience

Thanks to the generosity of SigEp donors, registration for this program is FREE! To subsidize or cover your lodging, travel, and/or parking expenses, be reminded that your chapter may have funds available through the SigEp Educational Foundation, such as the chapter investment fund (CIF). For questions about what funds may be available for your chapter, contact your AVC president or foundation@sigep.net.

Cancellation or No-Show

Since program registration is free thanks to the generosity of SigEp donors, there is a late cancellation / no-show fee to cover the costs incurred for you to participate in LAC. Please see below for more information:

  • CANCELLATION
If you cancel on or before November 9th (11:59 pm ET), you will NOT be charged a cancellation fee.
If you cancel after November 9th, your chapter will be billed $150 per canceled registrant. This is not intended to be a penalty; it is because, by this date, we will have pre-paid for your food and beverage costs with the hotel and SigEp is unable to recoup those fees.
  • NO SHOW
If you do not show for the program, your chapter will be billed $150 per person who did not attend. Again, this is not intended to be a penalty; it is because, by this date, we will have pre-paid for your food and beverage costs with the hotel and SigEp is unable to recoup those fees.

Please know that you can send an undergraduate replacement, who wasn’t already registered for the program, to avoid a cancellation or no-show fee. Have them come to the registration deck at the program to be swapped in! If an extenuating circumstance should arise and prohibit you from attending, please reach out to events@sigep.net as soon as possible.

For questions or more information, please contact Pat Githens, Leadership Programs Director.
