Responsible For: As associate editor and communications manager, she writes and edits content for the semiannual SigEp Journal and supports the staff by ensuring consistency in messaging across all departments.
Bio:
Tyya is a graduate of Howard University (go Bison!), where she earned a B.A. in print journalism, and also studied at Ohio University through an exchange program with her alma mater. Tyya joined the marketing and communications team in 2015. After several years living amid the nonstop action of New York City, she is enjoying the laid-back pace of her home state of Virginia. Some of Tyya’s favorite things: coffee and deleting excess commas. Some of her not-so-favorite things: broccoli and when all three contestants get the answer to Final Jeopardy wrong.
