Melissa received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2009, she earned her designations of Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Before joining SigEp, she worked as an internal auditor for the U.S. Army Audit Agency, performing audits of the Army's business process improvement program. She was also a supervisor in Keiter's Risk Advisory Services department, providing audit and consulting services to clients in the banking, manufacturing, and utility industries; and an independent consultant for community banks. When she's not working, Melissa enjoys painting murals, curling, and working with giant breed dog rescues.
