Brian Warren

Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officer
Email: brian.warren@sigep.net
Phone: 804.823.9341

Responsible For: Brian is responsible for leading the Headquarters staff in implementing SigEp's strategic plan. He works with the National Board, SigEp National Housing and Education Foundation trustees to ensure SigEp is meeting its goals and providing the best possible experience for its brothers. Brian also collaborates with other organizations and their leadership to help advance the entire fraternity and sorority community.

Bio:

As chief executive officer, Brian guides the Educational Foundation's strategy and operations. Overseeing staff and leading discussions with the Foundation's Board of Trustees, Brian also serves as a point of contact for key donors.

Brian Warren joined Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Virginia Eta Chapter at the University of Virginia, where he received degrees in foreign affairs and East Asian studies. As an undergraduate, Brian served Virginia Eta as president and vice president of recruitment.

Upon graduation in 2004, Brian began his service to Sigma Phi Epsilon — first as a regional director, then as director of learning communities, helping establish SigEp’s Residential Learning Community program. In 2008, Brian became director of fraternity operations responsible for all chapter services and the development of all new chapters. In January 2010, at the age of 27, he became SigEp’s executive director.

Under Brian’s leadership, SigEp has invested more in the undergraduate experience than ever in its history. Today, the quality and reach of SigEp’s leadership programming continues to expand, giving more undergraduate men opportunities to build the life skills they need to excel in the classroom and beyond.

An advocate for the role SigEp can play in student safety and the development of healthy relationships, Brian was selected to participate in President Obama’s Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault.

He is a member of the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors, to which he has presented numerous times on issues that advance the quality of the undergraduate experience and strengthen partnerships between fraternity staff and campus administrators.

As SigEp’s delegate to the North-American Interfraternity Conference, Brian co-authored the revised NIC Standards for its 70+ members, calling for a greater commitment to continuous development and higher academic achievement.

Since 2010, Brian has also served as the secretary-treasurer for SigEp National Housing. Under Brian’s leadership, SigEp National Housing has expanded its lending program to support the construction and renovation of SigEp facilities across the country and launched a property management program to better support volunteers in the professional management of SigEp facilities.

In 2013, SigEp’s National Board of Directors and Educational Foundation Board of Trustees promoted Brian to chief executive officer, adding fundraising and the stewardship of charitable contributions to his list of responsibilities.

As SigEp continues to grow, so too does its alumni base. A firm believer in the lifetime commitment of brotherhood and the necessity of alumni support, Brian has made alumni involvement a central component of each of these efforts. Today, SigEp communicates more frequently and openly with all alumni so that members can remain involved and informed throughout every stage of their lives.

Brian resides in Richmond, Va., with his wife, Ashley, son Cal — who was born on Founders Day — and his two daughters, Louisa and Vivienne.
