Responsible For: In her role as the programs and events director, she manages, oversees and leads the programs and events team in the development, implementation and refinement of SigEp’s regional and national leadership programs. Additionally, she supports the planning and execution of fun, engaging and productive events for donors, volunteers and governing boards.
Bio:
A Virginia native, Stacy is a 2002 graduate of the University of Virginia (Wahoowa!), where she earned a B.S. in sociology. While in college, she served as both social chair and vice president of recruitment for her sorority, Sigma Kappa. In fact, serving in these leadership roles is what solidified her love for event planning and desire to do it professionally. After college, Stacy started the summer conference program at Virginia Commonwealth University and transitioned onto the Headquarters staff in 2006. In 2008, Stacy received her CMP (certified meeting professional) designation, which is recognized globally as the badge of excellence in the meeting, convention, exhibition and event industry. Some of Stacy’s favorite things: college football, craft beer and wineries, to-do lists, her husband, Ryan, and two crazy kids, Ella and Graham. Some of Stacy’s not-so-favorite things: cheesecake, clutter and the terrible two’s.
